I had a very happy birthday thanks to everyone. Thank you for the birthday wishes, cake, and gifts. Lamar and I spent the day shopping and picked up our new tv. It was nice. Now that Lamar works week days and is off on the weekends, we don't go out shopping together very often. It was like old times again. Can't believe that I am already 41! This past year went by a little too fast.

someone,
broke into our car yesterday while we were at general conference.(obviously god was hinting to us not to go back;)) just kidding. the passenger window was shattered. My mom's purse was gone that had credit cards, my camera, coupons, keys, lots of stuff in it. also they took one of my bags that had a bunch of my stuff in it like; phone charger, leg warmers, JEWERLY (lots), flipflop, hat...etc. Brooklyns purse was also taken too and that had lotion&chapsticks in it. Yes we were mad!, but glad they did not look through the car because we had so much expensive things in there that they didnt take like; new t.v, ipods, cell phones, psp, d.s's, big camera, laptop... good thing they were in a hurry or that stuff would have been gone. We tried looking around for the purse just in case the person had thrown it somewhere, we didnt find it. We replaced the window with cardboard and tape. haha. Today, my mom got a call and they found the bag&purses:) yay. but, the camera was gone and she doesnt know about my jewerly:/ but they will mail them back to us as soon as they're dry:) hah. other than that, Utah was fun! and guess what, todays my moms birthday:)

MY JETSEN IS HOME
I am so excited that Jetsen is back home from Texas. After a long drive and a tire blowout, he arrived home last night about 9:00 to an empty house :( He honked the horn all the way up the road and honked some more, but no one came out. Lamar and I were at the temple, Brig was with Johanna, and the kids were all at a birthday party. Poor guy. We are so glad he is safely home. --Tammy

Baptisms for the Dead
Brooklyn and Briston were able to go do baptisms for the dead for the first time yesterday at the Boise temple. I went along and witnessed this exciting event. We had a large group so they each did 10 names. Brooklyn was very quiet and respectful in the temple. She is ready to do it again as soon as she can. The day before going to the temple, Brooklyn had her white slip, baptism dress and white shoes laid out on the floor in her room (she does that with her clothes everyday before school or church). I told her that she didn't need to wear he white dress this time, but I probably should have let her. On the way to the temple she asked me if Vickie was going to be there. Vickie is her favorite lady in the ward and came to her baptism. Bless her heart--she wanted to repeat all of the wonderful things from her baptism back in March. Watching Brooklyn walk into that font, I knew we made the right choice in letting her get baptized so that she could do this again and again for others. -Tammy

The Wentworth Letter Lesson
I gave my first Relief Society Lesson today (ever) on The Wentworth Letter. Scary, but a great experience. I told a little history about the letter and the times then I did things a little differently than Lamar's High Priest Group of course and wrote my own "Lowell Letter," telling a little about my life and my beliefs. I used the basic principles and ideas that Joseph Smith did in his letter; for instance, the Church was established in 1830, our family was established in 1987. Also, Joseph Smith details some of the persecution that the early saints go through in Missouri, and I wrote about some of the trials and opposition we have had in our family through out our marriage. I tried to include moments and events in my life that I felt the spirit the strongest or my testimony strengthened. I ended my letter with the "Lowell's Principles of Progress" similar to the Articles of Faith. I want to be able to tell my kids that you are a Lowell and this is what we believe without any doubt. It was a good experience and many of the women said they wanted to write their own letter for their posterity. I suggest that you all read the Wentworth Letter from Lesson 38 and do the same. It is so important in these Latter Days that our children and grandchildren know what we believe and know where they came from. Love you all! Tammy
